Cancers often throw out your Calcium level ( but it isn't a vitamin anyway). Today, most food eaten is through 'fast-food' outlets like McDonalds, or from processed foods bought in cans, packets. There are so many preservatives that we are loading toxins into our bodies. We can't avoid this way completely, but by increasing our intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, we can increase our antioxidant levels and thus increase our ability to neutralize damage being done. If we don't stop deliberate toxic damage ( like smoking!) then the rest is a waste of time. I don't know how to use this site too well, so will try and educate myself here so I can do a better job! Beware about the treatment of drunks, as in hospital they nearly always get boosts of vitamin B. Sometimes they are treated with Vitamin B12, but if given intravenously as B12, total blindness can result in these alcoholics ( as in vegetarians) as the Vitamin B12 is usually sold as 'cyanocobalamin'. The 'cobalamin' is the vitamin but it's paired with a preparation, and here this is 'cyanide' ( which is a killer!). There are better 'cobalamin' preparations, like hydroxycobalamin ( which costs MUCH more, so they use the 'cyanide' instead, to save money!)
